ANKARA: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has offered to play any role for establishing peace in the region following Israeli attacks on Palestine.

“The security of Al Aqsa Mosque is a responsibility of the entire humanity,” Erdogan said.

He further said that the western world has turned a blind eye to the Israeli atrocities in Palestine. However, we will not sit silent on the Israeli aggression in Gaza, the Turkish president said.

Earlier on Friday, Erdogan had strongly condemned Israel’s attacks on Palestine.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with his Nigerian counterpart in which the global attitude towards Israel’s brutal attacks on Palestine was discussed.

The Turkish president had said that Israel is an illegitimate state beyond law, justice and conscience, trying to convince the international community to teach Israel a lesson.

Erdogan had expressed hope that Nigeria would show solidarity with the Palestinians on the issue of Zionist oppression and barbarism.
