LAHORE: Lahore High Court on Monday ordered to expunge former PM’s son Ali Musa Gillani from the Exit Control List (ECL) in Ephedrine quota case.
LHC justice Shams Mehmood Mirza was hearing the petition filed by former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani’s son Ali Musa Gilani against inclusion of his name in ECL on direction of federal interior ministry in ephedrine case.
During the hearing Musa Gilani’s lawyer barrister Salman Safdar told the court that without any reason the name of his client has been put in ECL since four years. He argued that according to law name of any citizen could not be included in ECL for four years.
The government’s lawyer told the court that the name of accused Ali Musa Gilani was included in ECL in Ephedrine case which was under process in the court.
The court after hearing the arguments from both sides ordered to exclude the name of Musa Gilani from the ECL.
