LAHORE: The Punjab government has issued fresh restrictions to stem spread of coronavirus during the holy month of Ramazan.

In this connection, the provincial health department has issued a notification, which says entry will be banned into mosques without wearing face masks. Prayers should be offered at open places on the ground instead of rugs at the mosques.

It added that the provision of hand sanitizers and face masks would be mandatory at the entry points of mosques, markets and shrines.

It further advised that people having fever and cough offer their prayers at their homes. Sehar and iftar will not be allowed at the mosques.
