KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that entire Pakistani nation is with their Kashmiri brothers in their struggle for the right of self determination in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations.

While addressing to a protest demonstration outside  Memon Masjid Kharadar, he stated that India cannot crush the Kashmiris’ freedom movement.

JI Karachi has observed a protest day on Friday across the city to express solidarity with people of Indian occupied Kashmir.

The protest day was observed not only in Karachi but across the country, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir on the appeal of the JI supremo Senator Sirajul Haq.

Protest demonstrations against Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir were held at least 38 points in Karachi. Scores of citizens participated in the protest demonstrations after Friday prayers. In this regard a major demonstration was held outside the Memon mosque.

Speaking on the occasion, the JI Karachi chief Engr. Hafiz NaeemurRehman has said that the renewed movement of freedom of Kashmir can not be suppressed with nefarious and brutal tactics of using excessive force and pellet guns against unarmed and innocent protesters.

He paid a rich tribute to the young iconic Kashmiri freedom fighter BurhanMuzaffarWani, who was recently martyr by Indian troops in the occupied valley of Kashmir. He was of the view that Wani’s martyrdom will provide a new boom to the freedom movement of Kashmir from India.

Criticizing the so called international organizations for peace, the JI leader said that practically the United Nations have been playing the role of a maid for the United States so it is useless to expect something from her. He said that referendums are held across the globe for resolution of disputes and apparently UN is seen very active in this regard and cases of the South Sudan and Eastern Tamour are evident on it. However, he said adding that, the UN has become a paralyzed spectator in the case of Kashmir.

Engr. Naeem also criticized the Nawaz Sharif led Pakistani ruling regime for showing cold shoulder to those Kashmiries who are fighting the war of Pakistan on their soil.

He demanded of the government to shun the onion diplomacy and take serious measures to ensure the freedom of Kashmiries. He urged the government to dispatch delegates to all countries in the region as well as across the globe so as to highlight the plights of innocent Kashmiries, who have been facing oppression, since long.

The JI leader was of the view that the government of Pakistan should drag Indian counter parts to the International Court of Justice on the issue of Kashmir, which, according to him was an incomplete agenda of the creation of Pakistan.

He said that at one side Indian government has been stealing our resources, particularly water and trying its best to destabilize our country, while on the other hand our government to pursuing the line of cultural diplomacy.

On the occasion, he announced that the JI will march from Lahore to the Indian border of Wagah on July 31, in protest against the Indian brutalities and illegal occupation of Kashmir by India.
