Enough water in reservoirs to meet demand: Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif on Thursday said that the water level in the reservoirs is enough to meet the demands of the country.

He was talking to newsmen in Islamabad after Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan Joint Commission meeting. He said 70 percent of feeders having full recovery will have no load shedding. He said we are preparing mechanism of zero load-shedding at hundred percent recovery areas.

To a question about the circular debt, the water and power minister said by the end of 2017 the government will have hundred percent recovery of bills and end load shedding.

He said that construction work on Diamer Bhasha dam water reservoir will be started this year.
