England set challenging 356-run target to Pakistan

DUBAI: English batsmen exhibited splendid performance to set up huge target of 356 runs during fourth and final One Day International (ODI) match being played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Jason Roy and Jos Buttler’s tons lead England to set up huge target against Green Shirts which visibly seen shattered in fielding and batting sections since second ODI. Opening batsman Roy smashed 102 runs off 117 balls while Buttler hammered astonishing 116 runs by facing only 52 balls.

Azhar Ali and Mohammad Irfan grabbed two wickets each while key spinner Yasir Shah managed to take only one wicket in the play.

Earlier, England had won the toss and elected to bat first in the fourth and last One Day International of the series. Pakistan made two changes in the side as Ahmed Shahzad and Yasir Shah in for Iftikhar Ahmed and Zafar Gohar. The Green Shirts are trailing the series 2-1 against the visitors and this is the last chase to level the four-match series.

Pakistan lost back to back games against England after winning the farewell match of Younis Khan who retired from ODI cricket after first ODI between the two sides. This is the last chance for the host to end the series on draw and retain their ODI rankings.
