Enemy not to be allowed to sabotage progress thru terrorism: President

KARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday said that the whole nation was united against terrorism, adding that now the enemy wanted to impede progress through terrorism.

Addressing the first convocation of Sindh Madrassatul Islam University, the President said that the terrorists and their mentors would not be allowed to sabotage progress and prosperity of the country.

He pledged that the terrorists would be driven out of their sanctuaries and brought to justice at all costs.

He vowed that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project would be implemented at the earliest to bring progress and prosperity in the country.

The President said that it is a matter of satisfaction that many world nations have evinced keen interest in joining the CPEC. He hoped that the corridor would proved to be game changer for not only Pakistan but the whole region and beyond.

The President said Pakistan’s enemies were trying to disrupt our peace and progress but their nefarious designs will be thwarted with national unity and cohesion.

He said the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for the cause of peace in the country will never be allowed to go waste.

Mamnoon Hussain urged the youth to acquire modern knowledge to meet future challanges.

Governor Sindh , Muhammad Zubair while addressing the ceremony said that terrorism and extremism could be eliminated only through education.

He added that through education sectarianism and extremism could be overcome easily.
