Tando Muhammad Khan: A meeting regarding preparedness for monsoon rains was held at Deputy Commissioner Office Tando Muhammad Khan under the chairmanship of Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Sindh Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar.
On this occasion, MPA Syed Aijaz Hussain Shah, Deputy Commissioner Yasir Bhatti, SSP Abid Ali Baloch, Muncipal Committee Chairman TMK Syed Shahnawaz Shah Bukhari, GS PPP TMK Khurrum Karim Somroo, officers of Health, Irrigation, Drainage and other departments were also present.
Later, Special Assistant to CM Sindh on DEPD Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar also visited Sonpari Drainage and reviewed the arrangements taken to cope with the situation.
Addressing the meeting, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar said that a heavy rains spell was expected in Sindh and we all should be ready to manage the situation.
He asked the officers to take all precautionary measures to save people and public and private belongings from devastation of heavy rains.
Deputy Commissioner Yasir Bhatti briefed the Special Assistant to CM that all precautionary measures had been taken to handle the situation and an emergency control room had been established in his office and all departments concerned were in close coordination for the purpose.
Naveed Qamar expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements taken by local administration.
