Islamabad: PTI leader Faisal Vawda appeared in the election commission for disqualification case where the request to stop the notification of the success in the senate was rejected.
According to media reports the petition was heard by four-member bench headed by Altaf Ibrahim aginst Faisal Vawda disqualification requests in the election commission.
During the hearing Faisal Vawda said that on the last hearing my mother was very ill due to which I could not be present, I have also brought my mother’s medical certificate.
While hearing the case Altaf Ibrahim said that they are represented in the senate, how can they be prevented from representing them.
Applicant lawyer pleaded that, Faisal Vawda success notification should be stop otherwise he will cast vote, it is not a problem of new lawyer, Faisal Vawda lied about dual citizenship.
Election commission rejected the appeal to stop the notification of success of Faisal Vawda and adjourned the court till March 18.
It is to be mention here that the list of successful senator has been realeased by the election commission.
