MATIARI: Eight person including a woman sustained injuries when a passenger van carrying a wedding procession was hit by a truck on National Highway near Matiari late Monday night.
According to details, wedding procession (Barat) was heading towards Ranipur town from Mirpurkhas and hit by a speedy truck on National Highway leaving eight people injured.
Motorway police rescued the injured and shifted them to taluka hospital Matiari where MS of the hospital declared emergency and injured were provided first aid.
The injured persons include Meena, Muhammad Afzal, Waqar Rajput, Muhammad Sardar, Akhtar Ali and others. Two of the injured persons belonged to Rahimyar Khan city of Punjab.
Later, 5 injured persons with serious injuries were shifted to Hyderabad for further treatment.
