FAISALABAD: Eight persons were killed and 44 others sustained injuries in two separate accidents during last 12 hours.
According to police, a bus (FSR-8280) was coming here from Multan when it overturned due to high speed near Chak No.477-GB. As a result six persons including Muhammad Arshad, Akram Saeed, Umar Farooq and Amjad died on the spot while 36 others including Asghar, Aslam, Fayyaz, Hassan and Usman received injuries. The injured were rushed to THQ hospital Sammundri and 13 seriously injuried were referred to Civil Hospital here.
In second accident, a van on its way to Pakpatan from Jaranwala when it collided with a mini loader truck coming from opposite direction near Chak No.425-GB. As a result a woman Nasim Akhtar and a child Kamal Asad (12) died on spot while eight others including Amanullah, Shamshad, Fatima, Shazia, Pervez and Shahbaz sustained injuries.The injured were shifted to local hospital.
