Eight dengue cases surface in Malakand, tally mounts to 160

MALAKAND: Eight new dengue cases have surfaced in Malakand after which the one month tally has reached to 160.

Dengue focal person, Dr. Tanveer said on Tuesday that 12 people were shifted to Batkhela Hospital over suspicion of dengue. He said that during treatment and tests, eight among the 12 were found affected of dengue after which the tally during the month of September has climbed to 160.

Dr. Tanveer said that all steps were being taken on the government level to control the dengue and the tribesman have also been appealed for cooperation in the ongoing anti-dengue efforts to prevent its further outspread. —INP
