KARACHI: At least eight children and a woman were reportedly injured following a grenade attack carried by unidentified assailants in busy market of Lyari Town of Karachi here on Saturday evening.
Unidentified assailants hurled a grenade into busy Jhatpat market of Lyari, injuring at least nine persons including eight children and woman, local media reported.
Police told local media that the attackers also lodged gun fires after hurling the hand grenade; later walked away from the location. The wounded were shifted to nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Heavy contingents of law enforcement agencies cordoned off whole area and commenced a search operation to seize the culprits behind the attack.
