Eid-ul-Fitr 2015 is being celebrated with religious passion across Pakistan while large-scale gatherings were organised in mosques and larger grounds to offer Eid prayers here on Saturday amid tight security arrangements by local administrations and law enforcement agencies.
Thousands of security personnel were deployed across major cities to void terrorism bids across the country during special prayers offered in mosques, imam bargahs and grounds across the country on the prestigious day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Biggest gathering of Eid prayers took place in Shah Faisal Mosque in the federal capital Islamabad while largest gathering in Rawalpindi was organised at Eid Gaah Asghar Maal Road today.
Eid gatherings were also organised in all provincial capitals including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta and Muzaffarabad besides other cities. On the event, Islamic clerics in their sermons taught importance of Eid and its religious obligations and special prayers were made for national security and excellence of Islamic World.
Moreover, special security arrangements were made on prayer grounds, mosques and imam bargahs where security officials established walk-through gates while security personnel in normal dresses were also deployed on different sensitive spots.
