ISLAMABAD: The government has announced to close educational institutions across the country from November 26 to January 10 in the wake of rising number of coronavirus cases.
During the second wave of coronavirus in the country, the number of cases has increased alarmingly and the virus positive rate in educational institutions has reached 82 per cent.
A meeting of education ministers was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood here on Monday in which the situation of coronavirus cases in the country and especially at educational institutions was reviewed.
Talking to media after the meeting, Shafqat Mahmood said that it has been decided to close schools, colleges, universities and tuition centers from November 26.
