Education boards agreed to fix 40 as passing marks

It has been agreed that the passing marks should be minimum 40 in education boards across the country.

A two-day meeting of the committee four chairmen of the education boards of the country was held in which the 21-point agenda was considered and important issues were agreed upon.

In the meeting, the committee has agreed to make the passing marks at least 40%, while it has also been agreed to make Quran reading compulsory for Muslim students of Matriculation and Intermediate.

The chairmen of the boards have also agreed that a uniform result card will be introduced across the country and the examination schedule has been agreed to be held in May-June instead of March-April.

Apart from this, in the meeting, it has been decided to appoint the Chairman of the Interboard Sports Committee for this year and Balochistan Board will be the Chairman of the Interboard Sports Committee this year.
