Karachi: The Edhi mortuary has been closed after a disclosure that bodies of few deceased died of coronavirus were kept and given bath there.
Faisal Edhi told a local TV that few bodies were brought to the mortuary for keeping and giving them bath over the last few days. Later, it was revealed that the bodies were infected with coronavirus.
Relatives and hospitals lied to the mortuary denying that the deceased had died of coronavirus. However, police approached us and informd us about the actual cause of death of the deceased, Faisal Edhi added.
He said now the Edhi mortuary had been closed and the coronavirus tests were being performed on the staff of the mortuary.
