Edhi’ demise termed irreparable loss

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Engr. Naeem-ur-Rehman has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of renowned personality Abdul Sattar Edhi.

Expressing his views after participating in the funeral prayers of Edhi, he said that Abdul Sattar Edhi was not only a personality but an institution as well as a symbol of his era and public service.

He said that Edhi had been serving humanity throughout his entire life. He said that the demise is an irreparable loss for the society as well as humanity.

The JI leader said that Edhi’s decision to refuse his overseas medical treatment and to stay in his homeland is evident on his patriotism.

Engr. Naeem said that the need of the hour is to continue the mission of Abdul Sattar Edhi.
