All four provincial Election Commissioners have retired after completing their constitutional tenure, as Election Commission un-functional due to lack of new hiring.
As per details, the election commissioners were appointed during Pakistan Peoples’ Party’s (PPP) tenure for five years. Now they have retired.
However, new hiring haven’t been made on their posts due to which the election commission has been un-functional.
It is pertinent to mention here that, provincial governments and opposition leaders have to finalise the name for the posts.
