KARACHI: Election Commission of Pakistan on Saturday took notice of delayed start of polling at various polling stations in Karachi.

In Karachi’s district east, the voters faced difficulties as the polling staff didn’t arrive on time and were forced to wait in long queues for the start of polling that further irked them. The officials have been directed to take stern action in this regard.

Meanwhile in Karachi’s UC-15, the locals protested against a two-hour delay in polling and demanded action against the polling staff. Media men were also barred from entering the polling station while presiding officer also lashed out on mismanagement in UC-35.

On the other hand, polling is underway in twelve districts of Punjab and six districts of Sindh that will concluded at 5:30 pm.
