ECP responsible of mismanagement during KP LB polls: Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan rejected all allegations levelled on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for failures to conduct Local Bodies’ election across the province. He said that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is primarily responsible of mismanagement during the event.

Imran Khan conducted a press conference at his residence in Bani Gala Islamabad here on Sunday. He said that foundation stone of true democracy has been laid in Khyber Patkhunkhwa by organising wide-scale election. .

He appealed Chief Election Commission (CEC) to hold investigation into severe mismanagement during the election.

PTI chairman alleged that former rulers Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif failed to conduct same kind of election during their tenures. Chief Minister KP Pervez Khattak was directed to investigation mismanagements during the election, he added.

Imran Khan said, ‘Mian Iftikhar is a brave person. His arrest orders were neither given by me nor Pervez Khattak. KP police is an independent insitution that is free free from political influences and FIR registered was not made over orders of PTI.’
