Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said that all political parties are restricted to hold any public gathering during campaign of the local government (LG) election.
ECP sources said that all political parties are barred from holding public meetings except corner meetings. Sources added that strict action will be taken against violators.
It should be mentioned that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) held a public gathering on Friday in Islamabad before LG polls where chairman Imran Khan was invited to address the participants. Local administration placed barricades on the location but PTI chairman crossed the barricades by passing through different routes to reach the location.
