ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Saturday announced that membership of Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will be cancelled post receiving formal copy of the verdict of election tribunal regarding NA-122 rigging case.
ECP spokesperson said that the national institution was waiting to receive formal copy of the verdict. Post receiving the verdict, ECP would de-notify Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, spokesperson said.
ECP is responsible to hold re-election within 60 days in the constituency, spokesperson added.
