ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has accepted clarification by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Siraj-ul-Haq over of violation of code of conduct in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
It is pertinent to mention here that previous week, the ECP had issued a notice to the JI chief after he addressed a public gathering in the KP violating code of conduct for elections.
The JI chief on Monday submitted his clarification in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to ensure to be careful next time over violation of election code of conduct in.
Siraj-ul-Haq’s lawyer submitted the clarification on behalf of the JI leader which reads that “The respondent (Siraj Ul Haq) is firm believer of supremacy of law and Constitution and democratic process and its values, and not intended to violate the Constitution, law and democratic values,”
