ISLAMABAD: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Senator Sirajul Haq expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of lives and properties because of the powerful earthquake which rattled different parts of Pakistan on Monday.
He prayed for the departed souls and fast recovery of the injured and condoled with the affected families.
Siraj directed district mayors of Chitral and Dir to suspend regular activities and give their full attention to rehabilitation and relief works.
He also directed JI and Alkhidmat Foundation activists to gear up for relief and rehabilitation work of quake-affected people and arrange medicines, residencies and food for them as well.
Amir JI also telephoned Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak and asked him to bring all the government resources to help the affected people.
