SHANGLA: A moderate earthquake jolted district Shangla of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and surroundings on Saturday but not causality or property loss has been reported.
According to geological wing of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), earthquake measuring ‘5’ on Richter scale was felt in Shangla and surrounding areas.
People of the areas rushed out of their homes in panic reciting Kalma and stayed outside for quite sometime fearing after shocks.
The epi-centre of the quake was stated to be located at Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, 111 kilometer deep inside earth crust.
