Dr Asim to release soon, has firm confidence on courts: CM Murad

KARACHI: The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said Wednesday Dr. Asim will be released soon and they have firm confidence over courts. He said that they were completely prepared for on-time or off-time election.

While commenting over detained Dr. Asim, CM Murad said Dr. Asim was captivated by the federal government since last 1.5 years. He announced that they will sson file bail plea of Dr. Asim in other two cases.

The Sindh CM clarified that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had not mentioned mid-term election, however, the Constitution has space of such polls. He added PPP believed in strength of democracy while Bilawal’s demands were an attempt to empower democracy in the country. He said protests were democratic right of all nationals and PPP condemned torturing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers.

Murad said that sessions of apex committee will be continued till existence of the National Action Plan (NAP). Commenting over appointment of Army Chief, the Sindh CM said PM will have to make decision for appointment of new Army Chief or extension of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif.

During the press conference, CM Murad Ali Shah was seen firm on his decision to close wedding halls and business activities in early hours. He said the government was making efforts to make agreement while decisions will not be taken in hurriedness. He announced to provide insurance of Rs1 lakh to families of victims died in accidents.
