KARACHI: Former petroleum minister Dr. Asim Hussain failed to appear before the accountability court for the hearing of the corruption case against him Wednesday.
An accountability court heard the corruption case against Dr. Asim Hussain. He was not present in the proceedings.
Hussain’s counsel, in the proceeding, informed the bench that his client could not appear in the hearing as he was suffering from severe back pain and high fever.
The court adjourned the hearing till 3rd September and summoned the head of the medical board, examining Hussain, in the next proceeding.
Dr. Asim was arrested on August 26, 2015 on corruption charges and facilitation of terrorists.
