Dr Asim confesses charges leveled against him

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Dr Asim Hussain has confessed the charges in his statement recorded under act 154, investigation officer said on Monday.

Dr Asim was presented before the city court after his four-day remand ended today under police custody.

An anti-terrorism court on 26th November (Thursday) sent Dr Asim Hussian on four days remand under Police custody with charges of illegal hiring, illegal allotment of tenders and aiding terrorist.

He also confessed that his trust hospital is being used as a private hospital.

The investigation officer Doctor Zulfiqar said Dr Asim confessed that he aided the terrorists over the request of Anees Qaim Khani, Wasim Akhtar and Saleem Shahzad.

After the statement the police has taken him to Rangers sub jail from where he will be presented before an Anti-Terrorism Court.
