ISLAMABAD: A report published in a local newspaper claims that Dr. Afia, a Pakistani-American prisoner is being physically tortured.
Express Tribune has also published an article which said that the Pakistani Council in Huston had sent a letter to the Foreign Office in Islamabad.
According to the letter, Afia has been facing intolerable behaviour and is being physically tortured.
It further says that in a meeting with her council Afia said that she had complete faith in her lawyers and the investigation team.
According to the press release, it was Ayesha Farooq’s, the Consul General at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Houston, fourth meeting with the accused in the last 14 months.
