Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) supremo Altaf Hussain faced set back over his inflammatory speech against security forces and national institutions as dozens of cases were filed against him across all provinces including federal capital Islamabad.
Complaints were registered by citizens in different cities of Punjab province including Lahore and Rawalpindi while citizens were still filing cases against the MQM supremo so far. Moreover, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) brought condemnation resolution against Altaf Hussain.
The cases were filed in Islamabad’s Margala, Bara Kahu, Golra police stations while citizen Waheed registered case in Fort police station of Haiderabad and FIR was lodged by Matiari police over complaint of Usman Jokhio. Two cases were filed in Thari Mirwah and Faiz Gang police stations in Khairpur Mirs, three were filed under Section 153 in three police stations of Jacobabad, two in A-Section police staion of Dadu, three in Shikarpur, two each in Larkana, Mirpur Khas and Sukkur. Three cases were filed in Badin and one each in Thatta, Ghotki, Tandu Allah Yar, Kanri and Mitthi police stations.
Various FIRs were lodged across Balochistan province including provincial capital Quetta as citizens registered cases against MQM chief in City and Gawalmandi police stations in Quetta. One FIR was lodged in Harnai police station, one in Chaman and other in Jurma police station in Kohat.
Complainants stated that Altaf Hussain delivered controversial speech and levelled serious allegations over Pakistan Army. Moreover, Faisalabad session court approved case for hearing against Altaf Hussain. The complaint was filed by Chaudhry Shahid Rafiq Gul, whereas, PTI submitted condemnation resolution against Altaf Hussain in Punjab Assembly.
