RIYADH: Heavy rain on Tuesday suspended daily life in Riyadh among other cities and created a flood situation.
The Education department announced to remain all schools closed on Wednesday in connection with the expected more rains.
The Met department issued a warning about more rain in the city over the next two days. Madinah, Makkah, Eastern Province, Baha, Asir, Najran and Jazan are expected to receive downpour with a significant decrease in temperature on Wednesday, the met office said.
Districts such as Rowaida, Muzzamiyah and Faisaliah in Riyadh were particularly hit by the rain. The Civil Defense rescued 26 people and pulled out 56 vehicles trapped in the floods.
