ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry has said that we do not want to investigate the matter of the letter nor do we want to reveal the names behind the scenes.

Talking to a private TV channel, Fawad Chaudhry said, “We have to decide whether we want to name the people and countries related to the letter or not. We do not want to investigate the issue of the letter.”

He said that we did not want to reveal the name behind the letter. If we wanted to reveal the name, it would have been very easy. We would have released the contents of the letter.

Chaudhry said that we have two options regarding the letter, either make it public and let all people see it.

He said that it has been decided to send the letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan.

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan had waved the letter while addressing a public meeting in Islamabad on March 27 and said that an attempt was being made to change the government with the help of money from outside the country.

Last week, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had claimed that matters have been settled with the allies of the government while seven of the 12 dissident members have returned.

Talking to Hum News, he said that 99 per cent issues have been settled with the ruling coalition PML-Q and MQM-P.

He said that 7 of the defectors have returned to the assembly while talks are underway with 5 of them.

Replying to a question, Fawad Chaudhry said that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar is still there. All members of Punjab Assembly are candidates for the post of Chief Minister but we will see.

He said that the aim of the opposition is only to bring down Imran Khan, what will they do after the fall.
