Dollar depreciates for 6th consecutive day against rupee

Rupee strengthens against dollar in inter-bank market

KARACHI: The US dollar depreciated for the sixth consecutive day on Wednesday against Pak rupee in the inter-bank market.

Upsurge of the local currency continues against the greenback with Pak rupee gaining 84 paisas in inter-bank.

In the inter-bank, the US dollar is being traded at around Rs169.7 today.

Rupee is on the track of recovery after clarity on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme.

Also, the Saudi Fund for Development had also deposited $3 billion in the State Bank to support the Pakistan’s foreign reserves after which the rupee has been strengthening against the greenback during the past six sessions.
