Disease outbreak threatens earthquake-hit survivors in upper areas of the country as waves of cold weather persist all over.

The weather in Malakand Division, Upper and Lower Dir, Chitral, Shangla, Bonir, and Gilgit-Baltistan areas is getting colder.

Dry weather has spread the diseases of cough, cold, flu and throat infection along the threat of deadly disease of pneumonia among quake affected children.

Met Department said mainly cold and dry weather would persist in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, while condition in the affected Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan areas would be intense cold for the next 3-4 days.
