KARACHI: Director General Sindh Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar on Wednesday visited by-polls constituency NA-246.
The DG Rangers visited different areas of the constituency and reviewed security measures taken in the constituency for the by-election which is scheduled on April 23 (tomorrow).
Meanwhile, the Sindh rangers have refused to take CCTV cameras from provincial government Information Technology (IT) department.
The IT department had offered to give as many as 200 CCTV cameras but the Rangers said that the IT dept cameras are for outdoor use and they needed indoor use cameras.
Rangers spokesman said that separate monitoring rooms have been established in all 213 polling stations in NA-246 for the by-election.
Around 12 to 16 CCTV cameras have been installed in every monitoring rooms of the constituency.
