ISLAMABAD: An apprehended Indian spy, Kulbhushan Yadav, in his video message confessed Indian prime intel, Research and Analysis (RAW)’s involvement in a province and economic hub of Pakistan including Balochistan and Karachi.
The video was played during a joint press conference of Pakistani Armed Forces’ spokesperson, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG-ISPR) Lieutenant-General Asim Saleem Bajwa and the federal government’s Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed here on Tuesday.
Bajwa revealed the Indian spy belonging to the Indian Navy who was later transferred to RAW was arrested by the security forces on intelligence reports during first week of March.
Bajwa detailed that it is a rare example around the world to arrest key spy agent of any country. He added Yadav is a serving Indian naval officer whose primary mission was to plant terrorism activities in Karachi and Balochistan. He added that the spy converted to Islam and worked at Gadani under the cover of a scrap dealer,” said Asim Bajwa in a joint presser with Information Minister Pervez Rashid on Tuesday.
Bajwa said that the RAW agent also made revelations for establish a network of operatives, provide funds, arrange and smuggle people for terrorism in the country while maps of Pakistan and Balochistan province were also recovered from his possession.
In the six-minute-long video of RAW agent, Yadav admitted to carrying out different genre of attacks across Pakistan besides meeting supporters of Balochistan separation movement. He also confessed that Baloch insurgents were given training in Mumbai under supervision of Indian authorities.
Different high-profile terrorism incident including Safora Goth carnage and assassination of SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam were also in knowledge of the Indian spy, DG-ISPR said.
While addressing the important press conference, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rasheed said the government is well aware about his duties to raise the matter on different forum. He added that the government had also protested before the Indian government over engagement in different anti-state activities in Pakistan which came in violation of charter defined by the United Nations (UN).
