LAHORE: The deputy speaker adjourned the session of the Punjab Assembly under a ruling only after a few minutes here on Sunday.
The deputy speaker justified the worst commotion in the assembly session and adjourned the Punjab Assembly session till April 6.
The meeting of the Punjab Assembly lasted only 6 minutes due to which neither voting for the election of the new Chief Minister could take place today nor a no-confidence motion could be moved in the Punjab Assembly against the Speaker.
Meanwhile, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri has termed the no-trust motion as violation of the Constitution.
The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, while rejecting the no-confidence motion, stopped the ruling and adjourned the sitting till March 25.
In a tumultuous session of the National Assembly chaired by Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri, Law Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that a meeting is held on March 7 and a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister was presented on March 8 a day later.
Fawad Chaudhry said that our ambassador is summoned to a meeting on March 7, in which officials of other countries also sit. Our ambassador is informed that a no-confidence motion against Imran Khan is being filed. Until then no one in Pakistan knew that the no-confidence motion was coming.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he had advised President to dissolve National Assembly.
He said this in a televised address to the nation today.
The prime minister congratulated the nation on rejection of no-trust motion by the deputy speaker.

He said that the nation will not allow such a conspiracy to succeed. Following the decision of the Speaker with his authority and constitutional power, I have already sent an advice to the president to dissolve the assemblies, the prime minister further said.
He said that no one from outside or corruption money would decide this country. As soon as the President dissolves the assemblies, the process of caretaker government would begin.
