SRINAGAR: People of staged forceful demonstrations and rallies in many areas against the killing spree unleashed by Indian forces in the Indian Occupied Kashmir Valley.
According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), Hurriyet leader, Masroor Abbas, led a protest march from Khanqah-e-Sokhta Nawa Kadal in Srinagar. Addressing the protesters, he urged the people to follow the protest programme announced by Hurriyet leadership.
A candle-light vigil was also held to pay tributes to the martyrs who were killed by Indian troops and police during the ongoing Kashmir Intifada.

Banihal town, scores of youth took out a procession against the innocent killings and use of pellet guns by Indian forces in the Valley. They chanted pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
In Doda, a massive protest rally was taken out in which hundreds of people participated and condemned the killing and injuring of civilian due to the firing of bullets, pallets and teargas shells by Indian forces in the Valley.
They demanded that the use of pellet guns against civilians should be immediately stopped and forces’ personnel who killed and wounded innocent protesters should be booked.
In Kishtwar, the members of Muslim community across the District observed shutdown to lodge protest against the civilian killings. A large number of people led by the Imam of Jamia Masjid, Farooq Ahmed Kitchloo, staged a sit-in at Bus stand against the Indian brutalities in the territory. They were carrying placards with slogans like “Go India Go, “Stop Genocide” and “Indian Media Stop Propaganda Against Jammu and Kashmir”.
