Death toll from deadly heat-wave reach to 700

KARACHI: Recent heat wave has claimed 700 lives within four days in different parts of Karachi.

At least 700 casualties were reported so far due to heat strokes following intense heat wave hit the metropolis amid unending menace of load shedding across the city.

Hospital sources confirmed overall 700 deaths in different government hospitals so far. The hospital include 90 deaths in Civil Hospital, 280 in Jinnah Hospital, 74 in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, 38 in Qatar Hospital, 88 in KMC Hospitals, 25 each in Ziauddin hospital and Liaquat National hospital, 43 in Indus Hospital, 20 in Aga Khan hospital, 15 in New Karachi Hospital, seven in Lyari General Hospital, two in KPT Kemari hospital and 40 children died in NICH hospital.

The sources expressed rise in casualties as several patients are suffering sensitive health condition by heat strokes under treatments in different hospitals.

Mostly patients brought to the hospital aged between 45-50 who were already suffering many medical complications that turned intense after extremely warm weather.
