KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan has announced its full support to the former Egyptian president Morsi, Ikhwan-e-Muslimoon leader Murshid Muhammad Badeh, prominent Islamic scholar Yousuf Al-Qurzavi and other 100 leaders of Ikhwan-e-Muslimoon, who were awarded death penalty by forged military courts of Egypt judiciary; adding that the JI leadership will stage countrywide protest demonstrations against the unlawful act of forgery courts.
JI Secretary General Liaquat Baloch made the announcement while addressing a protest demonstration held outside Karachi Press Club (KPC) here on Friday.
JI Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, JI Karachi General Secretary Abdul Wahab, Naib Ameers JI Karachi Osama Razi, Barjees Ahmed, Muzaffar Hashmi, Information Secretary Zahid Askari and others were also present on the occasion.
The participants were chanted slogans against General Sisi and military courts of Egypt. They also raised placards and banners inscribed with “mock judiciary not acceptable”; “military courts not acceptable”, “Democracy with Morsi” and etc.
Speaking at the occasion, Liaquat Baloch said that the Ikhwan-e-Muslimoon is a reality and popular democratic power in Egypt; adding that United Sates and European forces are supporting General Sisi in violating human rights in Egypt.
He questioned that why the United States and European countries are not raising their voices over Palestine and Kashmir issue.
On the occasion, Liaquat Baloch demanded to the international community, Muslim World and all democratic forces to unite against unjustified death penalty awarded to President Morsi and others.
He further urged the Muslim World particularly the Saudi government to change its attitude over the said dilemma and hoped that the Shah Salman of Saudi Arabia should take action against unjustified death penalty to Egyptian democratic leaders.
“US and European countries are patronizing terrorist outfits across the world adding that it has also been revealed that the United States and India are involved in terrorism activities across the world”, he added.
On the occasion, Liaquat Baloch stated that the JI will present a memo before all embassies and consulates of Egypt.
Hafiz Naeem said that the mock military courts under General Sisi are violated all human rights norms in Egypt; adding that the crime of Morsi was to listen the grievances of masses; impose democracy in Egypt.
He regretted that the NATO allies countries, European Union (EU) and champion of human rights United States are remain silent over the unjustified act of military court.
“The cruel reign of army dictator General Sisi killed thousands of innocent people including man, women and elderly men in Egypt during riots; adding that the United States and United Nation are responsible for this act, as they keep mum over the said situation”, he added.
He said that the army dictator General Sisi is spreading the terrorism across the Muslim World.
“We accept the challenge in order to carry out peaceful movement to defeat the United States and its allies in Pakistan, Egypt, Tunis, Algeria, Iraq and Syria”, he added.
JI Naib Ameer Karachi Barjees Ahmed, JI District East Ameer Younus Barai, Osama Razi and others also spoke on the occasion.
He said that the army dictator General Sisi is spreading the terrorism across the Muslim World.
“We accept the challenge in order to carry out peaceful movement to defeat the United States and its allies in Pakistan, Egypt, Tunis, Algeria, Iraq and Syria”, he added.
JI Naib Ameer Karachi Barjees Ahmed, JI District East Ameer Younus Barai, Osama Razi and others also spoke on the occasion.
