The California-based company confirmed its decision in blog post. It did not mention when will it resume the service being offered in four cities. However, the company hopes the move will reset the conversation.

Uber has been under pressure over its legitimacy in Taiwan for some time. Authorities have been raising issues including unlicensed drivers hired by the company.
