David Warner scores triple ton as Australia declared innings at 589-3 against Pakistan

ADELAIDE: Australian opening batsman David Warner has scored a triple century and become the fastest player to reach the 7,000 mark in the Test matches, breaking a record that had stood since 1946.

He also became the highest scorer at the Adelaide ground. Earlier, Don Bradman had scored 299 at this ground.

Warner’s earlier highest Test score was 253 which was scored in 2015 against New Zealand at Perth.

Batting first, Australia scored 589 for the loss of three wickets before declaring their first innings.
