KARACHI: Daily Jasarat, one of the oldest Urdu language newspaper of the country, on Tuesday launched the First Ba’Himmat Award 2019 here at the head office of the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) to recognise and encourage the special persons.
In attendance were, a large number of people with various disabilities, Daily Jasarat CEO Dr Wasay Shakir, Chief Editor Ather Ali Hashmi, Editor Muzaffar Ejaz, ABAD CEO Mohsin Shekhani, Jamaat-e-Islami MPA Abdur Rasheed, PML-N leader Nihal Hashmi, JI Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, Sarim Burney and members of civil society.
On the occasion, special persons who had excelled in their respective fields were presented Ba’Himmat Awards.
Daily Jasarat organsied the simple and impressive ceremony in collaboration with the Sindh government’s Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, RAAH TV, and Al-Khidmat.
The other co-sponsors of the event include Tameer Bazaar, National Bank of Pakistan, AKD, SUMSUM Group, Engro Foundation, Aimal Developers, Chayell Properties, Hamdard, Naya Nazimabad and Battle For Better.
