Cycle Tauktae: Emergency declared in Karachi, other coastal areas

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has declared an emergency in all the coastal districts of the province in the wake of Cyclone Tauktae.

He declared an emergency while presiding over a meeting at the CM House here.

The chief minister instructed to the chief secretary to set up a control at his office with the view to have a close coordination with all the districts likely to be effected by the cyclone.

During the meeting, the chief was briefed that Karachi may receive 60 to 80 mm rainfall.
