ISLAMABAD: Hurriyet leaders and organizations, in occupied Kashmir, have condemned the culture of raids and crackdowns being promoted by Indian army, police and paramilitary forces across the Valley particularly in Baramulla district.
According to Kashmir Media Service,Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) General Secretary Nahida Nasreen in a statement severely condemned the use of brute force by police on civilian people assembled at Rahmoo village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. “These raids are conducted to harass the people so that they do not raise voice for Aazadi. However, this is not going to stop our dream of Aazadi and that it will further our resolve against the Indian occupation,” she added.
Hurriyet leaders Shabbir Ahmad Dar Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and Ghulam Nabi War at a meeting in Srinagar, asked India to shun its extremist approach and understand the real situation prevailing in Kashmir. They termed as far from reality the speech of Indian Prime Minister Narinder Modi at BRICS summit on terrorism and statement of Home Minister Rajnath Singh about the situation in Kashmir.
Tehreek-e-Muzahamat spokesman in a statement while condemning night raids and ransacking of properties in the nook and corner of territory by the men in uniform, said, “Killings, plunder, molestations and harassing innocent people won’t deter us from pursuing our sacred mission of freedom.”
