CTD arrest accuse involve in ISI officer killing

PESHAWAR: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) have arrested another accused of targeted killing of former official of an intelligence agency on Saturday.

As per details, the CTD arrested another accused in the murder case of former director of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Abdul Latif, who was shot dead on March 22 in Hayatabad area of Peshawar.

The second alleged target killer, Makail Mehmood, was arrested from Hayatabad area of Peshawar and the CTD also recovered the motorcycle, used in attack on the former ISI official.

The accused hails from Akora Khattak area of Nowshera and belongs to a banned militants group.

Few days ago, the CTD had arrested, the nephew of the slain official, Haris Naseem, code named as Khalid, from Hayatabad for his alleged role in assassination of the official. . The CTD said the accused had joined a terrorist organisation in 2009.
