Islamabad: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight crew deployed on a Boeing 777, which was stopped in Malaysia, has been allowed to return home.

Sources told a local TV that the air crew has been allowed to return home while the crew included two pilots, two first officers and 14 air hostesses.

Under Malaysian law, air crews stationed in Malaysia have to remain in quarantine for 14 days.

In this regard, the PIA spokesperson said that the crew of the PIA plane will leave for Pakistan on Saturday (today) by a foreign flight while the Gulf airline carrying passengers will depart at 11:45 pm according to Pakistani time. The flight will reach Islamabad via Dubai tomorrow afternoon.

It may be recalled that PIA flight PK894 had reached Kuala Lumpur from Islamabad but was stopped there by a court order for non-payment of lease.
