ISLAMABAD: Chinese ambassador Sun Weidong has said on Tuesday that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project would bring new business opportunities for the region.
He said that the project was at the center of the agreements signed during President Xi Jinping’s visit to Pakistan in April. The ambassador said that besides energy, the project also focused on agriculture, finance and industrial parks. He said that the main objective of the CPEC was to create a three thousand kilometers economic corridor between Pakistan and China. He continued that construction of roads, railways and pipelines across Pakistan likely to take around 15 years.
