ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal has said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project was a joint vision of Pakistan and China.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the CPEC project would bring economic revolution in the country. It would be a game changer for the entire region.
He said the International Monetary Fund (IMF) report was not against the CPEC which had great importance for the country.
Ahsan Iqbal said Pakistan had not taken any loan for energy projects. Electricity was like oxygen for economic growth and the government was trying to provide cheap power to the consumers, he added.
He said the government was focusing for reforms in the power sector, particularly on streamlining distribution and transmission system.
Decline in the circular debt was a positive sign for further strengthening national economy, he added.
